The Eye of Saturn's Hurricane as captured by Cassini's imaging cameras: The eye of this hurricane at Saturn's north pole is a staggering 1,250 miles across with cloud speeds as fast as 330 miles per hour, spinning counterclockwise in the north, just like the hurricanes on earth. Scientists don't know how long it has been active. by NASA/JPL-Caltech/SSI via popsci. #Saturn #Hurricane #NASA

I LOVE Nebula's! This is a deep image of the Sword of Orion - the three stars that make up the weapon hanging off the belt of this famous celestial hunter. The image showcases the amazing mix of physical and optical processes including atomic emission, Rayleigh scattering, reflection and absorption of light, that go on in this star forming region to create this kaleidoscope of colors and details.
